I was born on the first of September 1985 and grew up in Berlin. I started playing the guitar at the age of fifteen. At this time I already knew that I would like to work with this instrument. When I discovered the craft of guitar making my wish to become a guitar maker was born.
After finishing my Abitur (A-Levels) I decided to go to Newark, England for 2 years, in order to study guitar making at the Newark School of Instrument Making. During this time I also visited the work-
shops of several English guitar makers and gained some experience there. As the best student of my year I was awarded the Ashley Mark Publishing Prize of the Classical Guitar Magazine UK.
After returning to Germany in 2008, I decided to continue my studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Markneukirchen, where I currently study plucked instrument making, alongside
my work in Berlin.
In the beginning of 2011 I will set up a workshop in Berlin Kreuzberg with three other instrument makers.
